´´Dasein´´ What is Aspiration, is it a creature of the Neo Liberal ´´Centre and Centre Right´´?

    Aspirational Voting

Much comment is abounding regarding labours ´´Spadocratic´´deliberations on what went wrong in appealing to voters in the 2015 general election.
As with the concept of the Center and Left and Right as concepts of the Coordinates of Political Economy. The Neo Liberal narrative has concentrated itself on defining the Aspirations of Voters and how they express their aspirations in who they vote for.
We are all different and how we act as consumers , Family members, community members and citizens all draw on different sets of priorities often we make choices in achieving a workable work life balance. Some fail miserably , consider Elon Musks recent dressing down of a colleague who he felt had got his priorities wrong attending the birth of a child over the attendance of a product launch. On which side of that question do you find yourself ?
Musicians often talk of being in the pocket or feeling the groove others talk of channeling a vibe this can happen when one sits alone and communes with oneself and ones instrument . It also happens collectively in a band and also with the Audience, the power of Live music can be to channel a feeling that coalesces and passes between Audience and Musicians and the whole becomes something that all become a part of. This aspect of musical communication has al the dimensions of ´Dasein´

    Here we rehearse a Tune

Here the tune delivers in the context of a Community celebration.

Remember the many contexts in which we find ourselves at differing moments and times of the day. Achieving Daesin should not see needs left unmet by wants.

On the tides of Global Capital. David Cameron as King Kanut!

    • Keep getting the word out the Election result was a set back of sorts but the coming crash coming on Camerons Watch will leave no one else to blame. There is a huge bubble in the financialised economy at the moment and a worldwide slow down hitting as well as the Greece Grexit, Podemos in Spain and cracks in France and Italy that will erupt when Greece pops and drags the Euro down with it. On top of that the US dollar hedgemony is also going pop. Derivatives bubbles and countless financial frauds that will reveal all the bare arsed larceny when the tide goes out. In many respects hard though it is to see at the moment may well be better than the Hung parliament and constitutional crisis I for one was hoping for. I voted Green for their monetary reform policy it got scant attention in the campaign and little discussion of neo liberlaism got into much of the punditary I saw on the BBC. Anyhow Positive Money(http://www.positivemoney.org/petition/)have got the Monetary reform message at least registering on the radar screen and it is important to let the Tories know that they are being watched very closely and will be held accountable. On your Mortgage Ross don’t sweat price rises the next crash is a racing certainty and probably just around the corner. If your in the London South East region you can count on the mother of all crashes it is divorced from all reality.

      • Matthew Woodacre You talk about what will ‘happen on Cameron’s watch and leave no one else to blame’ and then go on to mention ‘worldwide slowdown, Greece Grexit, Spain, France, Italy, the euro, U.S. Dollar hedgemony, derivatives bubbles etc’??

      • Roger Glyndwr Lewis Matthew, Cameron and the tories are fully paid up members of the Church of Neo Liberalism, Margaret thatcher and ronald reagan are both beatified saints of the creed. Global elitism and finacialised capitalim of the State Monopoly Kind ( Fascism) Has National Governments acting in the interests of Global Corporates including the Global Banks that control the Financial System and for whom the Debt Based Fiat Money system has been created to serve. The problems I listed all flow from this Markets Construct that is devined by the sages in the financial media and referred to god like by the politicians The sun has Mystic Meg and the BBC has Robert Peston. Monetary reform is about taking back the money power and making Accountability for great power publicly transparent and operated in the public interest- If you are saying there is a contradiction vis camerons Watch, there are always contradictions in any system that is dynamic everything is part of a larger system, ergo, with respect to the Human construct of ´´The Markets´´There is a very real sense that Camerons Watch this time around is all his own doing, he has claimed the laurels of the Recovery after all? Of course he can not as Kanutes courtiers claimed for him control the tides of the Dollar Moon?http://letthemconfectsweeterlies.blogspot.se/…/danegeld…

The Current Chancellor of the British Exchequer is MP for Tatton which includes Knutsford in its constituency. Knutsford is what I had in mind and the Osbourne connection when I decided to read up on King Kanute. Danegeld is undoubtedly being paid to the City of London and Wall Street, The 2007 bail outs and ongoing bailouts by stealth are Danegeld to the Fiat debt based money system. Tatton has spawned plenty of material for quipping on hypocrisy and self absorption and Gideon is not letting the side down.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tatton_(UK_Parliament_constituency)

Knutsford was recorded in the William the Conqueror‘s Domesday Book of 1086 as Cunetesford (“Canute’s ford“). King Canute (Knútr in Old Norse) was the king of England (1016–1035) and later king of Denmark, Norway and parts of Sweden as well. Local tradition says that King Canute forded the River Lily, which was said to be dangerous then, though other reports say it was the Birkin Brook at or near Booth Mill.[1] The English Place-Name Society gives the name as being derived from the Old English for Knutr’s ford or possibly hillock ford.[2]

Austerity is a Myth and can be seen as Dane geld by proxy for paying off the Criminals in the City and Wall street.

I have been messing about with this Kipling Poem this week and decided to jam out a version to a backing track. I am considering adapting to poem as a Lyric that is more along the lines of Banking Corporations and Debt Geld. At this stage I relate so strongly to the original poem and read it that way immediately, so  I have a slight aversion to meddling with it.

I found the poem as I decided to do some reading about King Kanute. I had always learned that he was mad and had him placed in the same category of self deluded despots I found out that quite the contrary he was a wise and enlightened sort of chap for the time responsible for quite a few egalitarian and progressive initiatives by medievil and indeed todays standards. I had not know either that Canute was in fact a Viking and was paid off in DaneGeld( protection money) hence the Kipling poem referencing the date 980-1016 AD which are the dates for Ethelred the unready who succubed to Canutes Father and then Canute re invaded after the initial tenure of his father ended on his death.

    Ruler of the waves[edit]

Henry of Huntingdon, the 12th-century chronicler, tells how Cnut set his throne by the sea shore and commanded the tide to halt and not wet his feet and robes. Yet “continuing to rise as usual [the tide] dashed over his feet and legs without respect to his royal person. Then the king leapt backwards, saying: ‘Let all men know how empty and worthless is the power of kings, for there is none worthy of the name, but He whom heaven, earth, and sea obey by eternal laws.’ He then hung his gold crown on a crucifix, and never wore it again “to the honour of God the almighty King”.[95] This incident is usually misrepresented by popular commentators and politicians as an example of Cnut’s arrogance.[96]
This story may be apocryphal. While the contemporary Encomium Emmae has no mention of it, it would seem that so pious a dedication might have been recorded there, since the same source gives an “eye-witness account of his lavish gifts to the monasteries and poor of St Omer when on the way to Rome, and of the tears and breast-beating which accompanied them”.[54] Goscelin, writing later in the 11th century, instead has Cnut place his crown on a crucifix at Winchester one Easter, with no mention of the sea, and “with the explanation that the king of kings was more worthy of it than he”.[54] Nevertheless, there may be a “basis of fact, in a planned act of piety”[54] behind this story, and Henry of Huntingdon cites it as an example of the king’s “nobleness and greatness of mind.”[95] Later historians repeated the story, most of them adjusting it to have Cnut more clearly aware that the tides would not obey him, and staging the scene to rebuke the flattery of his courtiers; and there are earlier Celtic parallels in stories of men who commanded the tides, namely Saint Illtud, Maelgwn, king of Gwynedd, and Tuirbe, of Tuirbe’s Strand, in Brittany.[97]
The encounter with the waves is said to have taken place at Thorn-eye (Thorn Island), or Southampton in Hampshire. There were and are numerous islands so named, including at Westminster and Bosham in West Sussex, both places closely associated with Cnut. According to the House of Commons Information Office,[98] Cnut set up a royal palace during his reign on Thorney Island (later to become known as Westminster) as the area was sufficiently far away from the busy settlement to the east known as London. It is believed that, on this site, Cnut tried to command the tide of the river to prove to his courtiers that they were fools to think that he could command the waves.[99] Conflictingly, a sign on Southampton city centre’s Canute Road reads, “Near this spot AD 1028 Canute reproved his courtiers”.[100][101]

    Dane-geld

    A.D. 980-1016

IT IS always a temptation to an armed and agile nation
To call upon a neighbour and to say: –
“We invaded you last night — we are quite prepared to fight,
Unless you pay us cash to go away.”

And that is called asking for Dane-geld,
And the people who ask it explain
That you’ve only to pay ‘em the Dane-geld
And then you’ll get rid of the Dane!

It is always a temptation for a rich and lazy nation,
To puff and look important and to say: –
“Though we know we should defeat you,
we have not the time to meet you.
We will therefore pay you cash to go away.”

    And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.

It is wrong to put temptation in the path of any nation,
    For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,
You will find it better policy to say: –

    “We never pay any-one Dane-geld,
    No matter how trifling the cost;
For the end of that game is oppression and shame,
And the nation that plays it is lost!”

From 79 to 2015 watching the Election in Swedish Exile ( self imposed)

I will be keenly awaiting this first clue as to how today is turning out, 11 pm Swedish Time 10 pm ish UK time. For the 1987, 92, and 97 Election My Ex Nicola Evans and our Great Friend Jeremy Cross sat up through the night hoping for Labour Victory. In 97 we were of course Jubilant although, reservations about Tony Blair turned out to be correct. In 87 and 92 we were all rooting for Alf Dobbs the Labour Candidate for Battersea who we had all voted for By 97 I was living in the East End in Tower Hamlets as was Nicola and Jeremy was living in waterloo next to The festival Hall. It was from Our house in Tower Hamlets  that Jeremy and I went to The Royal Festival Hall and then on to an All Night Pub at Smithfield for a Pint of Guinness and Breakfast to celebrate the End of the Thatcher era ( or so we thought). This time around fed up with Labour I have thrown my lot of hopes in with supporting the Greens who I hope do well and that a Left coalition can oust the Blairitee core of Labour and get back to some honest Socialist Democracy.
I owe my most precious possession , my education, to State funded and Grant aided Primary, secondary and further education. Student loans and Tuition fees are to me indefensible and such a massive bar to equality of opportunity. I was at school doing O Levels with very able friends who were not allowed to pursue A Levels let alone Further Education because their Families needed them to go and earn cash to make whatever contribution to the family budget. To my mind all of those people were a missed investment opportunity for society and such missed opportunities are no doubt multiplied many times over in the oppressive system in place now. I will miss the Company of Nicola and Jeremy tonight when I stay up to see in the result. I remember fondly first those student days and later when we were all doing the London career thing when we were fellow political travellers cast afloat in the troubled seas of Thatcherism.

In 1979 I remember well my Friend Professor Adam Tickell telling me what a huge disaster it was with the election of Margaret Thatcher( He was of course right), I moved to West Germany in summer 1980 aged 16 and when I returned just after my 18th Birthday  in October 1982 I found a very changed UK. I moved to Sweden in 2010 because I felt my young family would have a better more balanced life and upbringing here, I think I was right in that decision.I hope that things turn around in the UK and get back towards a Social democratic path Fascism isn’t for the British People and thats where Cameron has been driving the charrabang.

Bookies Back Galloway and Galloway Calls it for Milliband. Are the Bookies the only Market we can trust?

Bookies Back Galloway and Galloway Calls it for Milliband. Are the Bookies the only Market we can trust?

This is a very good interview with George Galloway regarding his own prospects in Bradford, and also of An Ed Milliband New labour Government, ´´Kept Honest by, SNP, Green, Plaid, Respect. Galloway apparently calls Nicola Sturgeon Margaret Thatcher in a Kilt, ( I don’t see the analogy myself ) What Galloway says which I do understand as important is that Scottish MP’s returned to Westminster  should not be transformed into Second class votes, They are as Valid as all other returned MPs and Each of their votes count equally in voting down a Queens Speech or For it .

I hope Galloway retains his seat although would love to see him give Boris Johnson a Portillo moment  in the London Mayorial elections, It would be sad to lose his searing criticism in Westminster and he seems confident along with the bookies that that will not happen.

The Neo Liberal Rape of Democracy. A comment on the Huff post op Ed, UK is Fucked.

A pretty un inspiring article I thought. The Uk and democracy would be better served by Proportional representation and the First past the post system seems it will serve up something of the sort on May 7th, with luck at any rate. The Author of this piece seems to find nothing wrong with A schumteresque version of democracy. ‘Democracy is that institutional arrangement for arriving at political decisions in which individuals acquire the power to decide by means of a competitive struggle for the people’s vote’.” Joseph Schumpeter, Quoted from Roy Madron , Super Competent Democracies who in turn Cites. “Participation, and Democratic Theory” by Carole Pateman. Dr. Pateman says that, Schumpeter and his followers: … set the current Anglo-American political system as our democratic ideal (with) a ‘democratic theory’ that in many respects bears a strange resemblance to the anti-democratic arguments of the last (i.e. 19th) century. No longer is democratic theory centred on the participation of ‘the people’; in the contemporary theory of democracy it is the participation of the minority elite that is crucial and the non-participation of the apathetic, ordinary man lacking in the feelings of political efficacy, that is regarded as the main bulwark against instability.´´http://letthemconfectsweeterlies.blogspot.se/2015/03/on-may-2015-uk-election.html . Neo Liberalism as the political wing of FInancialised Capitalism is withering on the vine along with Financialised Capitalism. Whilst America (USA) has influenced Western Europe since WWII through petro dollar hegemony the results of the disastrous neo liberal ( fascist) experiment in the USA are there for all to see at any level as a society the US is only represented as a success of political economy in Hollywood fantasy cinema USA is La La Land and Europeans, Africans, and those from the Orient simply are not prepared to sleep through the hollywood myth of the American Dream. The UK has been F’cked to use the articles terminology. It has been Raped in fact by neo liberalism as has the rest of the Western and Washington Aligned East for the best part of 40 years. This election as with the UK parliament vote against war on Syria is actually a writ served on the Neo liberal (Fascist perpetrators of that Rape. In the court of democracy Neo Liberal Fascism will surely fail to plead successfully against the charges and be sentenced accordingly. Meanwhile the people will rejoice and move towards a working direct democracy, I for one will be cheering from the roof tops!

Russel Brand Will be voting Labour And recommends that others do the same. Pragmatic or Naive or Both?

Wasn’t expecting that. The revolution will not be televised but it will be Pragmatic.

´´”A certain maxim of Logic which I have called Pragmatism has recommended itself to me for diverse reasons and on sundry considerations. Having taken it as my guide for most of my thought, I find that as the years of my knowledge of it lengthen, my sense of the importance of it presses upon me more and more.”

For me personally I would like to see all the party leaders questioned closey on thier understanding of the money creation process and what has been known in the Social Credit movement as the money power? I posted this on the red labour Facebook page earlier. Keep up the Good Work and Get the Blairites Out. Personally I believe The UK needs Proportional Representation and a coalition of the Left to beat Neo Liberalism. My reasoning is that Neo Liberalism is the Dogma of Banking and monetary power it is more difficult to hijack a flatter and more diverse polity and until the Polity becomes flatter and more devolved the Money Power is unlikely to be challenged. Anyway heres offering Solidarity from A Green Anarchist. I enjoy reading the red Labour posts and long may the Red Flag Fly mine as you know will also be half Black.

HSBC, F´right off and mind the revolving door on your way out!

Let them go in fact boot them out, they will not be missed. If banking was properly regulated and denied the privilege of creating money as debt it could get back to being a service to the economy and not a parasite upon it. Banking is a service industry and it has become the master through its power to create money. Banking is at its retail level a vitally important service to commerce its speculative activities now dominate and these are usually un helpful to the real economy and un necessary to production and commerce and they do anything but manage risk. Bankings invented markets thrive on Risk and go out of their way to exacerbate it to increase opportunities to extract wealth from the productive economy. HSBChas been found guilty of countless criminal activities from money laundering to rate fixing to mi selling ( the list is endless for all of these financial institutions. As with all of us as individuals it is also true of institutions that none ore irreplaceable or in the line of dogma for Banks Too Big to Fail. My message to HSBC´´Fuck right off and mind the door on the way out these revolving doors are pretty treacherous. http://on.rt.com/gf80zp
